Within days of being invited to participate in the town’s “Scarecrow Contest” a call went out to one and all in the congregation to come on out and see what we could come up with.
With Peachland’s only department store “The Bargain Bin” in our church basement supplies were readily available. What we needed were creative thinkers – and creative thinkers we got!
A cool sunny day was provided on construction day and everyone that turned out – including a very interested young fellow named Waylon from across the street – gave full attention to the task at hand.
We laughed together while stuffing, pulling, tying and arranging the various parts to make the whole.
We wanted a sign for the creation and some suggestions were “need a boost join us for worship” or “You raise me up to more than I can be” – any more suggestions out there?
